Introduction
The college search for many students with disabilities should mimic that of their neurotypical peers, focusing on many of the same qualities of different schools. But students may want to consider additional elements in their search.
Elizabeth C. Hamblet, a college learning disabilities specialist and recognized expert on preparing students for college, has written and spoken about these considerations. She’s also talked to a number of experienced professionals who work with students wit disabilities on both the high school and the college end of the college search process.
